Satellite vegetation and moisture
Sentinel-2 optical imagery gives NDVI for vegetation health and NDWI for water stress. Sentinel-1 radar adds soil moisture, which works through cloud cover. All resampled to the parcel boundary.
PlotScope is an early-warning dashboard for farm distress. We combine Sentinel optical and radar imagery, current and historical rainfall, evapotranspiration, and temperature into a single parcel-level view, compared against multi-year baselines. Click any field on the map. See the data. Act before the season is lost. Built first for Vojvodina and central Serbia.
What we see
Most agricultural early-warning in Serbia still runs on regional averages and farmer self-reports. By the time distress shows up in those signals, the season is half lost. PlotScope pulls the picture down to the parcel.
Compare the current season to the same parcel's last three or more years of vegetation, rainfall, and soil moisture. A drop is visible the moment it diverges from history.
Each parcel updates as new Sentinel captures and weather observations arrive. The trend line moves in real time, not at quarter close.
Drought stress, water deficit, land use change, fire scar. Surfaced the day they appear, with the underlying NDVI and rainfall delta attached.
What it does
Sentinel-2 optical imagery gives NDVI for vegetation health and NDWI for water stress. Sentinel-1 radar adds soil moisture, which works through cloud cover. All resampled to the parcel boundary.
Historical and current-season rainfall, evapotranspiration, and temperature for every parcel. This season is automatically compared against the parcel's own multi-year baseline to flag anomalies.
Click anywhere on the map and we pull the official parcel boundary from the Serbian Geodetic Authority. No manual digitising. No CSV uploads. The boundary is the one your cadastre actually uses.
Every parcel automatically classified as cropland, grassland, bare soil, or water using spectral indices. The category updates each season, so land use changes surface on their own.
Maize futures tracked alongside the agronomic signals, converted to local currency. The financial stress and the field stress sit on one screen.
Built for
A real-time view of regional drought, water stress, and harvest risk. Drill from province to parcel without leaving the dashboard. Backstop disaster declarations with parcel-level evidence.
Price premiums on parcel-level risk, not regional averages. Verify claims against the season's own NDVI and rainfall record, without sending an adjuster to the field.
When the season turns, you have weeks to target relief at the parcels that need it. PlotScope ranks distress by severity and gives you the evidence trail.
FAQ
If yours is not here, the answer is almost certainly yes, on a call.
First deployment covers Serbia, focused on Vojvodina and the central farming regions where summer drought is most acute. Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Bulgaria are on the immediate roadmap. Other regions on request.
Sentinel-2 for optical and Sentinel-1 for radar. Both are public. Higher resolution commercial capture is added case by case when the use needs it.
Each parcel's current season is compared to its own multi-year baseline. A material drop in NDVI, soil moisture, or rainfall versus history triggers a distress flag. We do not rely on a single regional model. Every flag is anchored in the same parcel's past.
Click anywhere on the map and we pull the official parcel boundary from the relevant cadastre. For Serbia that is the Serbian Geodetic Authority. No manual digitising. No CSV uploads.
Programmatic access is on the roadmap and available case by case during the private beta. Tell us what you would want to integrate with.
You share the region or the list of parcels to cover. We reconcile with the relevant cadastral sources and run the comparison against history. Timing depends on portfolio size and region. We set realistic expectations up front.
